Walk into Nature: through the Latemar rock labyrinth and the Latemar forest
Violins grow here: a polyphonic hike through the Latemar forest. Werner Putzer takes you through one of Europe's most beautiful spruce forests, the Latemar forest. The trail leads over the Latemar meadows, climbs through the Latemar rock labyrinth and descends down the woods to Lake Carezza. Participants will learn interesting facts about the geology of the Dolomites, local wood, timber work, as well as the Ladin legends and many interesting details about the forest. For participants aged 8 years and above. Good training and Alpine clothing required. Bring your own lunch. Take highway's exit “Bolzano Nord/Val d'Ega”, turn right direction Bolzano/Bozen, after about 0,5 km on roundabout keep left and head towards Val d’Ega (SS 241). Keep driving up to Ponte Nova. At Ponte Nova’s crossroads, turn to the left and continue to Nova Levante (about 20 min. from highway toll booth).
