Accessibility statement

Konsortium Aufstiegsanlagen Carezza Dolomites is committed to making its website carezza.it accessible in accordance with applicable legal requirements and WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.

The website is based on HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript and is regularly reviewed for accessibility. The source code is semantically structured and follows modern web standards.

The page structure follows a logical hierarchy (H1–H6) and uses semantic HTML5 tags such as <header>, <main>, <nav>, and <footer>. The page language is correctly set using the lang="en" attribute.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The evaluation is based on an internal assessment conducted in June 2025.

Non-accessible Content

  1. Non-compliance with accessibility regulations
  • Images and icons: Not all images and graphics have proper alt texts or ARIA attributes.
  • Keyboard navigation: Some interactive elements (sliders, calendars, filters, menus) have limited keyboard navigation. Keyboard focus is not always clearly visible due to missing :focus-visible styles.
  • Structure & ARIA: Missing structural headings and important ARIA attributes such as aria-label, aria-expanded, aria-live.
  • Contrast & readability: Some text areas show insufficient contrast or font sizes under 16 px. Scaling to 200% is not always ensured.
  • Autoplay functions: Some sliders do not allow stopping autoplay, affecting accessibility.
  • Forms: Some forms lack proper <label> elements or clear error messages.
  • "Read more" links: Some generic links like "read more" are not self-explanatory.

b) Disproportionate burden

  • Videos: Some embedded videos lack audio descriptions. Adding them is currently considered a disproportionate burden.

c) Content outside the scope

  • PDF documents and Office files published before September 23, 2018 are not fully accessible.
  • Live videos are currently not captioned.
  • Third-party content beyond the control of Konsortium Aufstiegsanlagen Carezza Dolomites.

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of these contents.

Third-Party Content and Functions

Some content on carezza.it is provided by third parties and may not be fully accessible:

  • Outdooractive (interactive maps, tour suggestions)
  • dolomitisuperski.com (ski and lift information, maps)
  • HGV-Booking-Widget (accommodation bookings)

These contents are outside our direct control and accessibility cannot be guaranteed.

Content embedded via <iframe> (e.g., maps, widgets) is often not accessible. We continuously check for alternatives or supplementary text information.

Technical Measures for Improvement

  • Semantic HTML structure and correct language declaration (<html lang="en">)
  • "Skip to content" link: <a href="#content">
  • Keyboard accessibility and visible focus
  • Minimum touch target size of 44×44 px
  • Text scalable up to 200%
  • Tables with <th> and optional summary
  • Use of ARIA roles and attributes: aria-label, aria-live etc.
