Determination of greenhouse gas emissions

We work with the Terra Institute to determine our greenhouse gas emissions. A well-founded GHG balance sheet in accordance with the GHG Protocol provides us with a transparent basis for our climate strategy and emission reductions. A major undertaking – if it was not for the fact that Carezza has since 2011 been one of the Alpine “climate skiing areas”: for years the lift company has been involved in climate and environmental protection, using 100% green energy, optimising and monitoring the snowmaking and piste preparation processes and converting slope grooming vehicles to HVO (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oils), thus reducing its CO₂ footprint, i.e. emissions of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide and its equivalents. The reduction measures are intended to help us achieve our climate goals Climate neutrality is to be achieved primarily through reduction, with what we cannot reduce being offset. Unavoidable emissions will be compensated by financial support for large-scale climate protection projects in third world countries. Together with numerous other companies, we are making measureable progress in actively reducing our greenhouse gas emissions
