Better weather at the weekend

Friday will continue with very cloudy weather. At first it will be snowing in many places, but in the morning northerly föhn winds will dry the air in most valleys. At higher altitudes, it will remain unsettled for longer. On Saturday there will be a mix of sun and clouds and it will remain windy. Sunny weather is likely to become widespread on Sunday. The north wind will ease. Clouds will increase again on Monday and precipitation is possible in the afternoon and evening.

Initially, the sun will shine mostly undisturbed. As the day progresses, extensive clouds will move through from the south-west and visibility will become somewhat more diffuse.
